
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has launched an investigation into two athletes who
won gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics.
The IOC has launched an investigation into two cycling gold medalists, Bao Sanju and Shang
Tiansi, for acting against the spirit of the sport.
At the Tokyo Olympics, the pair won a gold medal in the women's sprint team of track cycling.
However, both athletes attended the medal ceremony wearing a "batch" of former Chinese
Communist Party leader Mao Zedong. Due to which research has been started on them.

There is an Olympic rule that no political, religious, or ethnic propaganda is allowed at the
Olympic Games venue. The IOC has also demanded a report from the Chinese Olympic Committee on the two athletes breaking the rules.
